| Resin W Extra Fast Interior Wood Adhesive | Q | Your Resin Wood Adhesive dries clear. Why is it white when it is wet? |
| A | Most emulsions are white in colour due to the way they reflect light. If used in the correct conditions they dry clear or translucent. | |
| Resin W Extra Fast Interior Wood Adhesive | Q | Why is it necessary to clamp wood bonds made with Evo-Stik Wood Adhesive? |
| A | Until the adhesive has 'set' it will have no strength. In this case the water in the product will cause the adhesive to shrink as it dries. The water may also swell the wood grain. Clamping the wood GENTLY will keep the bond in place until the adhesive has set. | |
| Resin W Extra Fast Interior Wood Adhesive | Q | Is your wood adhesive based on PVA? |
| A | Yes, both Wood Adhesive Extra Fast (Resin W) and Evo-Stik Wood Adhesive Weatherproof are based on modified PVA emulsions. | |
| Resin W Extra Fast Interior Wood Adhesive | Q | I have used Evo-Stik Wood Adhesive to bond oak, however, a dark black stain has occurred where the adhesive is in contact with the wood. Why is this and how can it be cured? |
| A | This staining does not always happen. It is caused by iron reacting with the tannin in the oak. This can be caused by iron being in contact with the adhesive or by water containing iron being used to clean away the excess. These tests are reproducible, therefore, be careful what water is used |
