Evo-Bond PVA Q Why can't I use Evo-Bond when its freezing?
A It is water-based and would freeze. Even if it could be applied it will not set properly below about 5oC
Evo-Bond PVA Q Can I use Evo-Bond to seal my garage floor to prevent dust?
A It would initially work but has poor wear resistance. Use Sealocrete Florseal instead.
Evo-Bond PVA Q Can I use Evo-Bond to seal my kitchen floor to prevent dust and give a nice finish?
A No. It would initially work but has poor wear resistance. It will also turn white every time it gets wet.
Evo-Bond PVA Q Can I use Evo-Bond PVA to seal my outside walls against the ingress of rainwater?
A No. Even water resistant types of PVA will turn white on the surface when they become wet. Use Evo-Stik Watershield.
Evo-Bond PVA Q Can I use Evo-Bond Waterproof to seal a concrete ornament in a fish pond?
A No. This product is not intended for use as a surface coating. It will tend to turn hazy white when wet. Also it has not been tested as safe for use with fish.
Evo-Bond PVA Q Can I use Evo-Bond PVa as a sealer for my plaster wall prior to applying emulsion paint?
A No! It may leave areas with a sealed and shiny finish. Paint may then not be absorbed into those areas. The paint could then peel off. Use the primer recommended by the paint manufacturer.
Evo-Bond PVA Q What do the letters PVA stand for?
A Polyvinyl Acetate. In fact most PVA's are dispersions in water and look white before use and often dry clear. Typical products are Evo-Stik Wood Adhesive and Evo-Bond PVA
